  NORWAY: Public funding

Public support for film production in Norway goes back to 1950. Modified on several occasions, support is now referred to as pertaining to “audiovisual” production and – in addition to film – covers TV drama and documentaries and development of interactive (“video”) games. The Norwegian Film Fund is the Government’s executive body for film policy and handles the Government’s schemes for support.
